Sineu, what to do?
The town of Sineu still preserves reminiscences of its noble past today. A walk through the medieval streets of its historic center will show the visitor beautiful stately homes and monuments of interest. Perhaps the most outstanding construction of its architectural heritage is the parish church of Santa María, in which the bell tower stands out, with seven sections, with balconies and a pyramidal crown.
Other jewels of its heritage are Pontet de Santa Bàrbara, the Cruces de Término, the Concepcionista convent, built on an 8th century Arab fortress, the convent of Sant Francesc, the Sineu hospital, the Rectory, the Plaza des Fossar and the windmills, some of them abandoned or used as warehouses. In Sineu, one of the most important agricultural fairs on the island takes place on the first Sunday of May.
